Naked Nail Polish Set

Hello lovelies,
how are you all? I hope you are keeping well.

I am going to be doing a quick fire review of the Urban Decay nail polish set, only because I have had it for nearly a year and I think it is about time I did.
In all fairness, I am extremely fussy on my nail polishes and if I don't like them on first use, they don't stay around for more than 3 tries let alone make it to the year mark.
Polishes for me need to be opaque in maximum 2 coats, no faffing about with any more than that thank you very much. The brush has to be wide enough for maximum 3 strokes, the formula can not be thin, gloopy or sheer and has to be fast drying. I find it extremely annoying if they do any of that.
It should tell you what I think of these gorgeous beauties when I still have them just shy of a year after getting them.
I have tried each and every single 1 of these over and over and you will see them in NOTD posts in the future and I hope you like them as much as I do.
Before this set, I had not used any of the UD polishes and was very wary though I am not disappointed in the quality. The brush is the perfect size for the 3 sweep technique. The formula is almost opaque in 1 coat and can be left at 1 coat at a push.
They are stunning on there own or teamed with other polishes though some just don't need to as they stand on their own merits beautifully.
How about you? Have you tried any UD nail polishes?
Are there any that you would recommend?

I guess it is that time again where I have to say goodbye. Just remember than life is short, enjoy it and love 1 another.

Primark Matte Lipsticks

Hello lovely ladies,
How are  you? I hope you are keeping well?

I have a quickfire review of the Primark Matte lipsticks for you.
Even though they don't have shade names, that doesn't matter too much as they have a clear part of the casing with the colour of the lipstick in there so you know which 1 you are pulling out.
I don't mind the packaging though weirdly enough, I much prefer the cheaper lipstick packaging as it looks sleeker to my mind but that is just my taste.
The formula is nice but they are NOT matte,  not even in the slightest. The 1 on the immediate left is more satin in formula and is a bright pink, the middle lipstick is a lovely baby pink and also satin in formula but the 1 that I am most disappointed in is the nude lipstick on the far right. Why?
What matte lipstick do you know that has glitter particles in them and also transfers to the lips? They are only small but I am sorry, to my mind, matte lipsticks should NOT have glitter in them. If there was no glitter in this lipstick, it would be amont my favourite lipsticks as it really is a gorgeous nude, creamy and long lasting too. I am gutted on the formula but hope that Primark will rectiy this at some point in the future.
Have you tried these lipsticks? What do you think? Do you recommend them? Have you tried anything else form teh Primark make up range?

I guess that it is that time again where I have to say goodbye. Just remember that life is short, enjoy it and love 1 another.

NOTD: Barry M Almond and Essence Glitter Jewel in Glitz & Glam

Hello lovelies,
I hope you are all well and not too disheartened with the weather today. Although I love it when the leaves turn orange, golden and brown, I am not a fan of  the cold and heavy rain that we get but hey ho, it just means we are getting closer to Christmas. Woop woop.
Anyway, I though I would share with you the nails that I am currently sporting at the minute: Barry M in the shade Almond and you can get that here and Barry M have an offer on where if  you spend £7 you get a mascara free. Not too shabby.
I have on top Essence effects nail polish in the shade Glitz & Glam and you can get that here
As you will be able to see from the picture's the effect is just gorgeous and I love it. How do you feel about glitter effects?
How do you do your nails?

I guess it is that time again where I have to say goodbye. Just remember that life is short, enjoy it and love 1 another.

MAC Strobe Cream Review

 Hello you lovely ladies,
I hope you are all keeping well and getting ready for some spooky fun on Halloween. I know I am.
I sometimes find that my skin looks a little dull and needs a little "help" to look vaguely human. I liquid highlighter can help in these sad days.
I have the MAC strobe cream and find it a little too metallic when used on its own but I do like it mixed in with my foundation or BB cream.
It does give a lovely glow but I have to admit that it is not my favourite version of the liquid highlighters and certainly not the cheapest.
Am I happy that I have tried this? Definitely, it is good to try new things as that way you find out whether you like it or not and seriously, what have you got to lose?
Would I repurchase? In a word, no. It really is not my what I was hoping for as  I much prefer the subtle glow which this does not give even with the tiniest amount mixed in with a BB cream or foundation.
How about you, have you tried the strobe cream?
What are your thoughts?

I guess it is that time where I have to say goodbye. Just remember that life is short, enjoy it and love one another.

Sally Hansen Colour Quick Nail Polish Pen

Hello lovelies,
how are you all doing? I hope you are keeping well.

This is going to be a very quick review on the Sally Hansen Colour quick nail pen in the shade Stone. It is almost opaque in 1 coat but it definately needs 2 although if you are in a rush, you could just about get away with it. Just.
I don't like the brush, it splays way too wide and if not careful, it will put the polish on your fingers. Not a great look.
It is a very basic colour and would be lovely as part of nail art or with a top coat of glitter. it drys quickly which is a good thing but it did chip quite quickly for me.
I don't know if I would like it as a regular nail polish though it is good to pop in your bag for quick touch ups.
Have you tried 1 of these nail pens? What do you think of the concept?

A Cheeky Essence Haul

Hello lovely ladies,
How are you all?
I hope you are well and happy?
I thought I would share with a cheeky little Essence haul with you. I am finding myself falling in love with this brand, it is a budget brand that has some lovely quality products in their line.
I have a good few of their lipsticks, lip glosses, nail polishes, blushers and eyeshadows. I have to say that I very happy with everything that I have purchased, all but 1 thing but I will get into that in another post.
As you can see from the picture's that I recently purchased 2 more nail polishes in the shades 21 get the party started and 190. They are just beautiful and at £1.60 each, how could you pass them up?
I have cheated a little with the 2 quads as I have had them for a few weeks now but really wanted to share them with you as they are just blooming brilliant. They are shades 05 & 07 and they cost £3 each, how amazing is that? I highly recommend Essence products and for the price, you could buy the whole line and not have your bank manager shouting at you lol.
If you want to try Essence products for yourself, they are available on the Wilkoes website here
Have you tried Essence?
What do you think of their products?

OPI Nail Envy Review

Hello lovelies,
how are you? I hope you are all keeping well.
I thought I would share my thoughts on the OPI Nail Envy.
As you can see from the pics, I have been trying this for a good while now.
How it works:
Day 1:Put 2 coats on your nails on
Day 3:1 coat on ,
Day 5:1 coat on
Day 7: remove  .
Day 8: Put 2 coats on,
Day 10:1 coat on .
Day 12 1 coat on
Day 14: then remove.
Your nails should be as strong as an Ox.
Does it work?
Sort of.
I tried it as above and I didn't see that much difference to my nails. I tried it again the month after just in case I didn't use it right but again, no change in my nails. I tried it in total 4 times as above over the past 4 months but to no joy, it just didn't work the way I hoped it would.
So, for me, I have tried it as a base coat and it seems to work OK as that and will continue to do so for now as it does keep my nails protected.
How about you?
Have you tried the nail envy? Am I using it wrong? Please let me know if so, I would love to know where I am going wrong.

It is that time again where I have to say goodbye. Until the next time, just remember that life is short, enjoy it and love 1 another.

Revolution Salvation Palette

Hello lovelies,
how are you all doing?
I hope the weather isn't getting you down too much.

I thought I would share with you my thoughts on Make up Revolution's palette "Run Boy Run". This packaging is a sleek,  black plastic that feels quite sturdy, none of your cardboard nonsense here.
The eyeshadows are lovely and soft, super pigmented and last a good while when used with eyeshadow primer thought they do last a while on their own with no creasing.
At £4, I would highly recommend this palette as I find that it to be as good as, if not better, than some of the higher end palettes out there.
I absolutely love the matte eyeshadows in this palette, they are alot more pigmented than I thought they would be as, to be fair, all companies struggle to get a decent pigmented matte eyeshadow, so for £6, this little bugger is worth it just for that price tag alone in my opinion.
Because of this particular palette, (and some of their singles too), I am definitely going to purchase the Iconic palettes when I am next in Superdrug, I really want to have a good old fashioned swatch fest with these bad boys.
If you are interested in trying out this palette, or any of the other beauties, then you can purchase them here.
Have you tried anything from MUR?
Are there any products that you would recimmend me trying?

I guess it is that time where I have to say goodbye. Just remember that life is short, enujoy it and love one another.

NOTD: Revlon Parfumerie in Autumn spice & Illamasqua Spartan

Hello my lovelies,
how are you all doing? I hoe you are all keeping well?

Oh my, have I got something a little special for you in my NOTD today. Just absolutely breath taking.
I am wearing Revlon Autumn Spice Parfumerie with Illamasqua's Sparton on my ring finger.with Barry M's matte top coat. I have to say  what a stunning pair they make and  I  am just loving this combination. The scent coming from the Revlon nail polish is just beautiful and reminds me of  cinnamon cakes, mulled wine, all things christmasy.
I told you it was a amazing. I highly recomend both of these polishes and Oh My, I can't wait to see what the rest of the Revlong Parfumerie range is like. How exciting.

Well, it is that time again where I have to say goodbye. Just remember that lie is short, enjy it and have fun.

Nars Albatros dupe featuring Make up Revolution

Hello lovelies,
I hope you are all well and are having a lovely week. This weather is driving me crazy, I just never know what to wear. How about you?
This post is going to be another dupe but of a Nars highlighter Albatross versus the Make up revolution highlighter in Golden lights.
As you will see from the picture's that the golden lights is a spot on dupe for Nars albatross. I love them both equally and highly recommend both but if you are on a budget, please go for the MUR golden lights.
Both highlighter's need a gentle hand as you can end up looking like the proverbial glitter ball if you are heavy handed and I learnt that the hard way lol.

So lovely ladies, do any of you have either albatross or golden lights? What do you think o them? Do you recommend any other products for me to try or review? Do you know of any dupes?
Until the next time, please take care and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
