Natural collection watergaurd mascara

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all doing okay?
I am sorry for the lack of posts over the past week or so, I have been away with my little girl and Bubbles to Prestatyn in Wales (I will write up on my thoughts on that in a seperate post), and I only got back yesterday.

I thought I would share with you my thoughts on an all-time favourite Natural Collection make up item: the watergaurd mascara.
I do have to say that I am not easy to please with any mascaras let alone waterproof mascaras. I have extremely sensitive eyes and then in the warmer months, I have hayfever. Yay go me.
Anyway, as you can imagine, finding the best mascara for me has been 1 heck of a task, having said that, a little over a year ago I was recommended the Natural Collection watergaurd  mascara. Though I didn't go out and buy it straight away, I was a tad sceptical with the price being only £1.99 and I thought that a mascara that is that cheap could not be better than high end mascaras now can it? Or could it?
In my mascara, what I want as well as a waterproof formula that doesn't murder my eyes is, long lashes, smudgeproof and a non flakey formula.  Now I have to say that I am freaking loving this mascara, it really is amazing. Not only is it smudge proof, waterproof and gives great length, it also stays put all day and does not move even when my eyes are streaming like Niagra falls.
I blooming love this baby, have been using it ever since and unless something comes along for a similar price that does an even better job, this will continue to be my holy grail mascara. This is the mascara that ALL mascaras have to live up to.

Have you tried the Natural Collection mascaras? What are your thoughts and are there any products you think I should try from Natural Collection?

It is that time where I say goodbye, just remember that life is short enjoy it and love one another.
Until the next time,

Superdrug Haul

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are well?

I thought I would share with you are quick Superdrug haul that I needed for a future £10 face challenge. I do love my high end make up but lately, I have been a little disappointed in a fair few higher end items and loving more budget friendly make up items and it gave me an idea:- Can you really do a full face of make up for £20 and then I thought, wait a minute, how about a £10 full face of make up? That is crazy really when you think that you can spend £10 on just a lipliner. I do actually think it is posible and hope to prove it after starting with a £20 in the not too distant future.

The Beauty UK CC cream was on offer for £5, MUA blusher £1, MUR Revolution The one concealer £3 and Revolution stick concealer £1. Not too shabby on the price point but are they actually any good? I am currently trying out these make up bits and there will be a review in future weeks. And to be expected, there are hit & misses and 1 or 2 surprises but that is for a future post but for now, just eye up those little tinkers and wonder what I think of them :D I am also in the process of investing in more budget make up and testing out more of them, so expect more hauls too.  This partciluar challenge has excited me more than I thought it would.
Do you like budget make up or are you a luxury brand lass?

It is that time where I say goodbye, just remmber that life is short, enjoy it and love one another.

Until the next time,

Nelsons Pure & Clear moisturiser

Hello my lovelies,
how are you? I hope you are all well?

I thought I would share with you my thoughts on Nelsons' pure & clear moisturiser available here for £7.40. Sadly, I really couldn't use all of the moisturiser in the bottle as it started to irritate my skin but what I can say is that it dried out my skin, broke me out in a rash the first time I used it though I wasn't sure if it was this so I continued to use it. I have extremely difficult skin to cater for anyway so it could work for you.

I guess it is that time where I say goodbye.

Superdrug, Bodycare & Poundworld Haul

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all feeling and doing OK?

I thought I would share with you are very quick mini haul that I bought a couple of weeks back but forgot to put up. Doh.
I have to say that I do have a bit of an addiction with make up & nail polish and sometimes I impulse buy to make me feel a little bit better. However, I don't exactly have the kind of budget that allows me to do that so I save up pennies where I can and sell on things too to help with my weakness. Though this does allow me to buy some seriously beautiful higher end products that will be coming up in the not too distant future. Anyway, enough of my shortcomings and onto some pretties that I allowed myself to buy for an upcoming budget series.

Have you been being a little naughty when it comes to shopping? Have you bought anything that you regret purchasing? I would love to hear from you and look forward to hearing from you.

THE cutest NOTD you will ever see featuring OPI I brake for manicures & a Bubbles

Hello my lovelies, how are  you?
I hope that everything is OK with you and you are enjoying the Spring weather we are having though I don't know how long it will last.

Anyhoo, onto THE cutest NOTD you are ever going to see lol. My lovely little Shihtzu is a cheeky little minx and decided right at the time when I needed to take picture's of the polish that she wanted to join in too and have some extra play time. So, I let her join in :D
This particular NOTD is of OPI I brake for manicure's, I do like it but I have much lovelier darker shades. I am not sure how to describe the colour other than a more brown version of an aubergine or as a very dirty puddle. Not exactly selling it here am I? oops I really do like it but it isn't in my top 10, probably not my top 50 either but it is definately a "nice" shade.
It was opaque in 2 coats, was a nice creamy formula, didn't streak and lasted on my nails without chipping or peeling for 2 days. I just don't know why I can't like it more as it does look lovely on, I just can't quite put my finger on why it doesn't wow me. 2/5

Have you tried I brake for manicure's? What are your thoughts on it? I would love to hear from you and look forward to hearing your recommendations.

FOTD: Urban Decay elf 17 No7 MAC Benefit Matural Collection & MUR

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope youa re all doing OK?

What a crazy week for weather we are having, I don't know whether to wear a winter coat or not and I don't know about you? I just want the sun, please bring back the sun.
Anyhoo, onto what a FOTD featuring a fair few sexy numbers lol. I will do mini reviews on each product and how they held up throughout the day.
Urban Decay Naked: I love everything about this palette, the packaging (though it can collect alot of bits & bobs), the eyeshadow themselves are phenomenal, last all day without primer and just wow me. UD make THE best shadows on the block. 5/5
Elf mineral foundation shade light: Though this is no longer available in the UK, I have to review it as I have now used it up and I love it. I hope to be able to find it again. This is, in my opinion, the best mineral foundation out there. I love it. It covers any imperfections without being cakey, it does not dry out the skin and leaves me with a flawless finish. It lasts all day on me whether I use a primer or  not. 5/5
Natural Collection water guard mascara brown/black: LOVE LOVE LOVE this and there will be a full on review of this in the not too distant future. Phenomenal wear time on this baby, just love it. 5/5
Seventeen phwoar paint: This little number is pretty damn good, does not completely correct my under eye circles but with a under eye highlighter, this works well at disguising them. I do like this more than the Bobbie Brown correcter which speaks volumes. I do find that it creases slightly after 3 or 4 hours and then starts to fade at the 5 hour mark. 3/5
No7 concealer in light: I bought this in 3for2 offer that Boots were having and wasn't sure what to get, so bought this as the final thing and I am glad I did. I am so surprised at just how creamy this is. It conceals really well and lasts all day without fading. Love it. Again this creases slightly but nothing that a quick spray of a setting spray or face mist can't handle. It lasts a fair few hours but does fade at the 5 to 6 hour mark 4/5
Revolution: Now I have to say I was a tad dubious when I bought this but I really wanted to try it and I am seriously glad I did as it really is a nice hydrating concealer. The only drawback to this is that the outer ring (the moisturising balm) is too thick and you really have to use a fair amount to get to the concealer. Seriously hydrating though. Now this does not last very long if you don't set it with a under eye powder, only lasting a couple hours without setting and up to 5 hours with. 2.5/5
Benefit Benetint: I have to say that I have a love/hate relationship with Benefit as I find the majority of the make up is drugstore make up and the packaging is where the money is spent. For me, it is a rarity that I love any of their products and when I do, it stays with me always. Benetint is 1 of those products for a no make up make up look for me. I just love this. This little beauty lasts all day and gives a lovely subtle glow and hint of colour to the cheeks and lips. lasts all day. 5/5
MAC skin base: As a primer it doesn't make my make up last any longer, however, it does give an extra boost of hydration when my skin needs it. I do like it but I won't be buying the full size as, at £21, I think there are cheaper primers that do a similar job. 2/5

I do love to do mini reviews, especially on products that don't get shown much love or are just forgotten about. Have you tried any of the products I have used? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear form you.

Urban Decay Naked dupe Battle featuring Make Up Revolution

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all feeling and doing OK?

As I sit here typing, the sun is shining, the birds are singing and a gorgeous little dog giving me cuddles. I mean, seriously? What more does a girl really need?

Anyway, onto a very serious post: a full on battle of the dupes for the crown of best Urban Decay dupe. Today, I am pitting the Make Up Revolution Iconic 1 palette up against the UD naked palette. What will the outcome be? Who knows? Well, actually, I do but hey, you can't win them all.

I will be scoring the palette on a variety of things eg pigmentation, formula, wear time, packaging, ease of purchase,  each segment will get a score out of 5 and the one with the highest score will win.  There will be a giveaway including the winning palettes at the end of the series. The palette going to battle is the Make Up Revolution Iconic 1 palette. Good luck.

Packaging: The MUR packaging is a plastic, sleek, black that does fade slightly with time but does still look good. It is quite sturdy when open and closed.  I give a better than average 3/5.

Dupability: The MUR eyeshadows are so close when compared to UD that I am seriously cheering on MUR for the amazingness of it. However, on a  few of them, they are so off base that they cant really be called a dupe though they are lovely shades in their own right.  I have to knock a couple points off for the lack of pigmentation in the shadow that is the dupe for Naked I really had to work like a crazy woman to get any colour 2.5/5 is still a good score.

Wear time:  The MUR eyeshadows wore a decent amount of time without primer (5 hours) and over 8 hours with primer, pretty impressed with these bad boys. A very well deserved 4/5.

Formula: Now this is were it gets a tad iffy as some of the shadows are so crumbly, it just felt too dangerous to use them. I lost so much eyeshadow when swatching these that it put me off trying them on the lids (I did though and was more lost there) though when they have it right in this palette, the formula is great. They blend super easily when worn and do not blend into 1 colour.  2/5

Pigmentation: Now the pigmentation to the majority of these pretties are phenomenal only a couple let the palette down. Though some of the shades are off dupe-wise, when you take that out of the equation, the eyeshadow shades are just lovely and I love wearing them.  A massive 3 out of 5.

ease of purchase: Mur is easily available in Superdrug and on the MUR website. 5/5

Quality: Now I have to say that this is not my favourite MUR palette, having said that, when you look at the price, I do think the quality is there though I also think that it does need to be improved to get a full on 5 out of 5. 3/5

Value: For me, this also links to the quality too thoguh I feel terrible for slating this palette as it only costs £4 and that alone is blooming phenomenal. I have paid more than that for 1 eyeshadow, let alone the 12 you get in this particular palette.. I think this is amazing value. 5out of 5 for the value is definately brilliant.
Overall score: For me, in spite of there being a few gliches with this palette, it is still a great palette and I would highly recommend it. I love MUR as a brand not for me, palette wise anyway, I much prefer the Salvation palettes as they are just phenominal and they are on offer atm in a 3for 2 here. I think the total of 27.5 out of 40 is a great score and if they bring in the new formulation, this is going to be hard to beat.
Make up Revolution have done pretty darn well in this battle but sadly, it is so far in 2nd place. W7 has alot to live up to, can it knock MUA off the top spot? This really is a close battle I can tell you.

It is that time where I say goodbye, just remember that life is short, enjoy it and love one another.

Until the next time,
Ta Ta for now.
