Battle of the Urban Decay Naked 3 dupes feat W7 In the Nude

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all feeling well and taking advantage of this gorgeous weather.
Today is the final round of the Battle of the Urban Decay Naked palettes and it is the turn of the Naked 3 palette. I am pitting the W7 In the Nude palette up against the UD Naked 3, we all know that the UD eyeshadows are amazing with super pigmentation, amazing longevity and are just plain old phenominal.  UD shadows are hard to beat though I don't expect any of the dupe palettes to be on par with the UD eyeshadows, that would be unfair especially as you expect a heck of a lot more for the money.
Ok, I guess it is time to get on with the battle, enjoy....
Dupability: The W7 eyeshadows are not 100% dupes, though, having said that, there are some that are pretty darn close that you could get a 99% similar look with the W7 eyeshadows though there are some that are not even in the same colour scheme (trick, factory & blackheart) 2/5
Formula: These eyeshadows are definitely a better formula than the W7 Lightly Toasted, having said that, the formula is a tad powdery with a fair bit of fallout (definitely needs an eye primer). 2/5
Pigmentation: This is a disappointment to me as the pigmentation was not amazing and for the price, I would usually forgive that but literally, the majority of the shadows needed alot of building and still didn't have amazing pigmentation. 1/5
Wear-time: These do last just over 4 hours before fading which isn't too much of an issue for days were it doesn't matter too but if I need my make up to be on all day, I want it to last and this didn't fair much better with eyeshadow primer. 1.5/5

Ease of purchase: The W7 palettes are notoriously difficult to get a hold of, however, since I have started this series, they have become more readily available in beauty shops and online. 5/5
Packaging: I can't knock the packaging, it is lovely to look at, sturdy and the shadows didn't shatter when they took a battering from my little girl the other day. 5/5

Quality: I am very disappointed with the quality of this palette compared to the previous In the buff palette, I feel as though they rushed everything about this palette just to get it out there. 1/5

Value: This little tinker can range in price though I find the RRP £9.99 to be too much for it and would happily pay the cheapest @ £4.99 for it. 3/5

Overall thoughts & score: The W7 palettes have been the most disappointing for me as the quality from all of the dupe palettes ( I have an eye shadow quad (Naked Nudes) that is brilliant), have been inconsistent, I disliked the lightly toasted though loved the lightly toasted. The In the nude is a meh palette sadly and will not repurchase.  21/40

So unbelievably disappointed with In the Nude, I really would not recommend it at all, it really isn't great. Have you tried any of the W7 palettes? What are your thoughts on them? The next in the firing line will be the Make Up Revolution Iconic 3 palette, will it fair much better? I guess we will have to wait and see.

London Haul

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all keeping well and having an amazing summer.

Today I thought I would share with a recent shopping trip I had while visiting a friend in London. While there, we did a small swap and you can see that here, the lovely lass even got me the OPI Black cherry chutney that I have been searching for for the best part of a year.

I certianly raided the piggy bank as I have got some serious pretties from my wishlist. For me, the biggest deal was going into Inglot as where I live, there are no shops that sell Inglot and going in there has been a heck of an eye opener. Ive been dying to get in there for the past 5 years and I certianly had fun making up a palette of eyeshadows.

There were a couple of misses for me though it wasn't anything too drastic really. I did have the intention of getting a Hourglass blusher but for me, they were either too pale or had glitter in them. I was gutted though I can seriously understand why people love them so much, they really are amazing. Another disappointment for me is in MAC, only because 2 of the items I wanted were out of stock (Soft & Gentle MSF and Plumfoolery blusher) though I will be getting them in the not too distant future.

Have you bought any wishlist items recently? What do you have on your wishlist? Please feel free to comment below :D

NOTD: London Butter Petrol

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all keeping well?

I thought I would share with you a quick NOTD featuring Butter London's Petrol. I have to say that this is my first time trying a Butter London and I am impressed with the formula not to mention the shade. It is a very pretty purple with hints of green and turquoise in there and it is opaque in 2 coats though I did apply 3 coats for this post. If you would like to try this particular shade, it is available on the boots website here for £12 though I am pretty sure that there will always be an offer on the website.
Have you tried any of the butter london polishes? What do you think of them and are there any shades you think I should try or even avoid?

London Swapsies

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all feeling well?

Today I thought I would share with you a recent trip I took to London to visit my friend and her family. She was mine and my little girls tour guide, and believe me, she was much needed (as was her fiance who was my little girls entertainer with all of his gadgetry hehe).
I haven't been to London since 1981 with my mum for Prince Charles and the then Lady Diana's wedding. It brought back so many memories visiting to Tower bridge, the Tower of London, the Thames, The Olympic Park, it was just phenomenal. I can't wait to go back, I miss London, my tour guide and her family and it has only been a couple of days since coming home.
I can't believe just how much it has actually changed and my mum would be devastated that she could not have been there to see it.
Anyway, enough about strolling down memory lane, I told the young lady in question, that I have a few little bits & bobs for her when I arrived, the crazy lady had arranged for all of these little beauties (and a heck of alot more besides though they are not pictured as they are nice and safely tucked away in there designated drawers).

LT knew that OPI black cherry chutney is on my wishlist & I have been searching for months for it with no luck, guess who found it for me?

Aren't I a lucky lady? I have to say that the lady in question, has been a friend for a few years and has been there for me in some serious dark times. I just want to say thank you for being 1 hell of a classy lady, being an amazing friend and I look forward to coming down for you to be my tour guide yet again.

Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Buff & Review

Well hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all keeping well?

Today I thought I would share with you an amazing setting powder that is from Ben Nye and I have it in Buff.  It is available here in a few sizes & different shades including the famous banana powder which I have had and used for setting my undereye concealer.

I had heard of this powder for a number of years but I hadn't tried it as I didn't really use powders because of my dry skin though as of late, my skin has changed and is now more combination than anything else. My skin gets so oily in the T zone now that I need all the help to control it that is humanly possible. And boy does Mr Nye deliver.

A friend of mine (who is even more nutty about make up than I am) sent me this little pot (along with a sample pot of the banana powder) in a swap last year for me to try and boy am I glad she did, its blooming brilliant.
It is a loose powder and tends to need slightly more time to apply it as it is like a talcum powder where you shake the powder into the lid and believe me when I say you only need a small amount, when you put it into the lid, you can see just how finely milled it actually is, it looks like very very fine water spray in the air and when you touch it, you can't feel it, it is that finely milled it feels like it is almost non existent, it is blooming brilliant.
I use the banana powder for setting my undereye concealer, it is so finely milled that it doesn't settle into any fine lines and my concealer is set for the day, it just does not move for love or money.
I highly recommend this little beauty and I can honestly say that I think you will not be disappointed if you do purchase it.

How about you, have you tried the banana powder or 1 of the other varieties? What were your thoughts and are there any powders that you think I should try?

FOTD Feat W7, Maybelline, Clarins, NYC & Make Up Revolution

Hello my lovelies, how are you?
I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the summer?

Today I thought I would share with you a FOTD featuring some products that I have been loving recently. Don't get me wrong, there are some in here that aren't as amazing as I would like them to be but they are still lovely all the same. I do love a good FOTD as it means mini reviews which I love to read myself for future reference on products that I might like to try in the future.

W7 Photo shoot Foundation in Sand Beige £3.99  here:
I absolutely love this foundation, it does not cling to any dry spots nor sink into my pores (with or without primer). It is light to medium coverage and is buildable. It blends beautifully, suits my skintone. I just love it. 5/5

Oh so waerproof mascara £2.30 here: I didn't like this mascara at first because it was just way too wet to use, it went everywhere. However, when it dried out a bit after a month, it was pretty good, it isn't amazing by any means but still good. 2/5

Make up Revolution Focus & Fix concealer £2 here: This isn't amazing as a concealer but what it is good for is being a under eye brightening concealer, it does that job very well. I have repurchased this a couple of times and will buy it again. 2.5/5

Barbara Daly eye primer: I do not like this eye primer in the slightest, it doesn't hold eyeshadow well, it fades after a couple of hours. It just isn't worth buying. In the bin it goes. 0/5

NYC Eye pencils in shades 610 & 620 £1 in Poundshop: Oh my are these blooming brilliant. They are super pigmented, creamy soft, do not budge when my eye decides its that time where it just runs and boy oh boy are they blooming sweatproof. 5/5

Nars matte Lipstick in Bangkok £20 here: Oh my do I love this little beast. It does not look much in the tube but when I wear it, it is just my perfect MLBB lipstick. It is worth every penny and I would have no issues in paying out £20 for it again. 5/5

Rimmel Lip Gloss in Brillo Voluptuoso £1 Poundworld: This is a stunning little gloss that is not too pigmented, just right for over a lipstick. This is a lovely formula, not too sticky though the wear time isn't spectacular, which I dont mind as I like to apply lip balm throughout the day in warmer weather to protect my lips. 5/5

NYC eyeshadow quad shade 817 South Street Seaport £1 in Poundworld: This little quad makes the most beautiful look for daytime, I am completely obsessed with this little baby atm. It is a little powdery but nothing a good eyeprimer cant handle. 4/5

Maybelline 24hr powder £5.99 here: Hmm I haven't quite made my mind up as to whether I like this or not but going off 1st impressions and this is just a meh powder for me. It is OK, nothing special for me. 2/5

W7 Candy Blush in Galactic £1.49 B&M shops: Oh boy, where do I begin with this little bad boy? It is just stunning, it is super pigmented though not too crazy, is easy to blend if you are a little heavy handed, velvety soft and lasts all day. 5/5

Clarins Blush Prodige in 02 Soft Peach (received in a swap & is sample sized): This is not a super pigmented blush though would be fantastic on super pale ladies. I love this as a highlighter with peach blushers, for that is is brilliant. 2/5

So there you have it, another FOTD with mini reviews.
Have you tried any of these make up items? Did you like or dislike them?
I would love to hear your thoughts, recommendations, even products you thin I should avoid.
